To our PuppyUp Memphis Community:

When we postponed our April 2020 walk to the Fall, it was in the hopes of being on the other side of the COVID-19 pandemic by then.

But we have recently been notified by city authorities that any public gathering of 50 or more has been, if not prohibited, strongly discouraged. The safety and well-being of our participants, sponsors and vendors is our first priority.

The decision to convert the current walk site to a Virtual Walk has been made, with plans to see you all in person next Spring.

In the meantime, even though COVID-19 has put a dent in everyone’s plans, it has not stopped cancer nor kept us from our Mission. It is still important that we continue to bring awareness and educate pet parents on how to recognize early signs of cancer in the hopes of keeping their pets healthier.

There is an added feature to this walk site: you can link your Fitbit to the walk site, and count your steps even though your are walking in your own neighborhood!

And another exciting new element:  A BATTLE OF THE CITIES…. tapping into the natural rivalry between Memphis and Nashville, we are challenging the Nashville Virtual Walk to see which city can take the most steps, raise the most, and have BRAGGING RIGHTS!

We greatly appreciate your continued support to The Puppy Up Foundation, and especially PuppyUp Memphis for the past seven years. Without your support, we would accomplish nothing.

Please continue to take care of yourselves and your family. We will be looking forward to Spring 2021, and being able to congregate with you all again. If you have already registered for this year’s walk, be assured that your registration, and any donations you have raised will remain on your fundraising page. All Team Totals are still in place.

You will not need to re-register.

We will be updating our Facebook page often.
